One of the more unique and attractive Babe Ruth signed baseballs in the hobby today, the exemplar offered here prominently displays The Sultan of Swat’s large and bold autograph across the sweet spot of a Official American League (Harridge) sphere in bold mint steel-tip jet black fountain pen. The ball was signed in the last year of The Babe’s life.

Filling the entire panel below The Bambino’s magnificent application resides a spectacular original watercolor vignette of Ruth, donning his Yankees cap and pinstripes, by a talented artist with the initials “JE.”

A coat of shellac was applied at some point to preserve the autograph and artwork, and it served its purpose admirably as both are incredibly bold and sharp.
