198283 Philadelphia 76ers NBA Champs Team Signed Game Basketball Beckett COA

During the early 1980s the Philadelphia 76ers couldnt solve the riddle that was the Los Angeles Lakers and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Having been defeated by them in the Finals in 1980 and 1982, respectively, the Sixers brought in Moses Malone, the answer to their Abdul-Jabbar problems. Malone would predict that the Sixers would go Fo, Fo, Fo during their playoff run, and he was almost correct: The Sixers only lost one game during the whole playoffs, sweeping the New York Knicks, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in five games, and sweeping the Lakers in the Finals. Malone earned MVP honors for both the regular season and the NBA Finals.

Hall of Famer Maurice Cheeks signature appears on the panel below. All of the 10 signatures on the basketball are in strong black marker.
