This Official Major League (Manfred) ball hails from Ohtani’s first major-league game against the Athletics and is registered as “Shohei Ohtani MLB Debut” in the MLB Authentication system. It was used in the 8th inning when Angels pitcher Keynan Middleton faced A’s batter Jonathan Lucroy: “Foul – Four-Seam Fastball – Pitch Number: 4, Pitch Speed: 99.3 MPH, Balls 1 Strikes 2. Hit Distance: 165.0 ft, Hit Launch Speed: 80.53 MPH, Hit Launch Angle: 15.66.” Ohtani’s first hit was a single to right field in the 2nd inning.
